New Zealand’s First Purpose Built Motorhome Village - a secure, safe & caring environment
Waipuna Motorhome Village - a secure, safe and caring environmentWaipuna Parklands Estate covers 6.5ha of park-like surrounds within 15 minutes of Kerikeri, Paihia, Waipapa and Kaikohe. Marinas and Boating Facilities, Beaches, Bush and Coastal Walkways, top class Golf Courses and lots more are all within a short driving distance. Historic evidence of the area such as the 'Retreat' of the late Rev Henry Williams, The Old Pakaraka Store and Historic Church are within walking distance. The proposal is to develop a secure 16 Lot Motorhome Village for members of the NZ Motorhome Association (NZMCA) which includes building sites for 13 villas for semi-permanent residents to own and live in when not touring or travelling overseas. The property was originally purchased as a dairy farm in the mid-sixties and later on converted into 5 orchard blocks with packing shed and cool store facilities. Mature trees around the boundaries and some remaining bamboo shelter belts are still there and give the property shelter from the South West. The land is easy undulating throughout having a general fall from the State Highway 1 boundary to the North with a cross fall to a small stream running south/north through the centre of the property. To eliminate the need for a large garaging building on each residential lot, storage of motorhomes will be securely centralized in the existing Packhouse/Coolstore complex. The complex will be converted to house up to 16 motorhomes or caravans up to 12 meter long and plans include a workshop, room for communal gatherings and possibly even a gym.
